MIXED

What a way to start finals

The mixed division delivered from the first whistle, it was fast, clinical, and super competitive.

The pool rounds saw Big Bang Europe and The Frenemies set the pace early. Big Bang racked up big scores and controlled games, while The Frenemies went unbeaten through day one and matched them all the way, holding them to a 6–6 draw to close out the pools.

Behind them, it was a battle. OT7 AllStars, Cheltenham Tigers, Quokkas and Touch Sofia all traded blows, with every result shaping the run to finals.

The playoff stages was when Cheltenham Tigers further built momentum, reversing the pool results to take down OT7 AllStars in the bronze medal match, while Quokkas edged Touch Sofia.

That Final. Wow. The two standout teams all weekend.

It was The Frenemies who found another level, running out 12–6 winners over Big Bang Europe to take the title

MENS

The men’s division was stacked, and it showed.

Pool rounds were across two groups, the standard was high from the start.

In the Toros, Galaxy Cosmos set the benchmark, with some big wins and a statement start in day one to top the group. Splendidi Quarantenni were consistent throughout, while Swiss bounced stayed in contention with only one loss.

In the Matadores group, Dutch Lions were dominant, going unbeaten. OT7 AllStars pushed them closest, while Furious Fifties edged a tight battle with Resulting Roosters.

Plate

Furious Fifties came alive, going unbeaten in the plate with three strong wins to take it out. Tight games throughout, but they found a way every time

Cup rounds

Galaxy Cosmos carried their form into the cup, winning all their group games to stamp authority while Dutch Lions did the same in Group B, staying unbeaten despite a tough test from Spanish MO. OT7 AllStars secured their 3v4 playoff spot, and a draw between Swiss and Spanish saw the host nation team nudge ahead to be pitted against the allstars.

Playoffs saw the OT7 AllStars and Swiss Mountain Goats get their final wins of the championships, with both teams beating their opponents by two each.

Final - Galaxy Cosmos vs Dutch Lions.

A proper battle, that went down to the wire, 4v4 dropoff. A buzzer beater saw Galaxy Cosmos edge it 6–5 to cap off an outstanding tournament

WOMENS

The women’s division brought the heat

In the pool rounds, Le Passion set the standard early and never let up, consistent and in control all the way through. Big wins over EuroJets, EuroComets and Swiss Sparks saw them top the group in style.

Swiss Sparks looked sharp throughout, picking up key wins and staying right in the mix, while EuroJets grew into the tournament, finishing strong with a big win over EuroComets and a draw against Swiss. Equal on points, more tries scored saw the Jets go into the final spot.

Elsewhere, it was tight. Gold Diggas, EuroStars and EuroComets all had their moments, with results going back and forth across both days.

Final stages

EuroStars edged EuroComets in a close playoff, while Swiss Sparks powered past Gold Diggas to make their final statement of the event.

Finals time saw Le Passion vs EuroJets.

And once again, it was Le Passion that delivered, running out 9–3 winners to cap off a dominant weekend, making them back-to-back champions.
