ARGENTINA TOUCH ARE COMING

Argentina Touch. Touch N’ Tapas. South America on the move.

This is a special one.

Founded in 2025, Argentina Touch are heading to Touch N’ Tapas for the first time. In fact, this is the first time an Argentine team has competed outside South America. As far as we know, it is also their first entry into an international-level tournament of this kind.

That is a big step. Not just for them, but for the region.

They become only the second South American team to take part in the event. That brings real visibility. It shows growth. It shows intent. It shows that the game is stretching further than ever.

But they are not travelling all this way just to make up the numbers.

They are coming with purpose.

Back home, the sport is building. Structures are forming. Standards are rising.

Participation is growing. Touch N’ Tapas is part of that journey. They want to experience the speed of the game at this level. They want to understand how referees interpret the rules in established competitions. They want to see tactical trends up close. They want to feel the professionalism that comes with mature systems.

Then they want to take it all back to Argentina.

The aim is simple. Raise the bar. Help coaches. Support referees. Create clearer pathways for young players. Accelerate development by learning from those already operating at a high level.

On the field, they want to compete with pride. They want to benchmark themselves against established nations and ask honest questions.

  • Where are we strong?

  • Where do we need to improve?

  • Can we stay disciplined under pressure?

  • Can we complete sets consistently?

  • Can we hold our defensive shape when it matters?

These are the moments that shape programmes.

Off the field, they are equally ambitious. They want to build relationships. Open doors to future friendlies. Explore exchange opportunities. Share knowledge. Grow together.

And perhaps most importantly, they want to inspire the next generation back home.

If an Argentine team can travel across the world and compete at Touch N’ Tapas, others can follow.

As they put it themselves, this is not just a tournament. It is a statement of intent. They are here to learn, to compete, and to help the sport grow back home. And yes, to get ready for the next World Cup.

Argentina Touch are coming and we cannot wait to welcome them.
