Our founder, Gregg Cropper, was recently invited onto the new Davies Sports ‘Beyond the Sport’ podcast to chat all things Touch, from discovering the sport in his thirties, to playing for England, and helping the sport grow at a community, national and global level.

Looking back, it’s been quite the journey.

Cropper has been fortunate to represent his country, coach many others to do the same, and be part of something much bigger than just a game, it’s a community, it’s his community.

They talked about:

📈 The rise of Touch, globally

🏉 How it’s played, how it differs from traditional rugby, and why it’s so accessible

🧑‍🏫 The role of school sport and teachers who made a difference

💡 What inspired the creation of On The Seven Events and how it’s helped fill a gap in inclusive, social, and competitive opportunities for all ages

⏭️ And what’s next…

Big thanks to Gareth Pashley for organising, to Kenzie Benali and Jim Daly for being such incredible hosts, and the whole Beyond the Sport team for having him on.

Whether you’re a current player, someone who’s drifted away, or just curious, we’d love for you to give it a listen.
