With six new and four returning teams, we couldn’t wait to see the women’s division play out.

French, Scottish, Welsh, Swiss, three English, along with three, yes you read it right, THREE European select teams joined us for TNT25.

We initially ranked the women’s teams and split them into two groups, Flamenco and Reina.

Day one saw both groups play 4 x 30 minute games each, before being re-ranked post round robin, into cup and plate groups.

Day two would have Plate teams then play 3 x 40 minute games each, to place 7-10, while Cup teams were split into 2 new groups, where they played 2 x 40 minute games each.

Teams coming out in first place of their Cup group would head into the Cup final, second place played the 3v4 game, and third spot teams faced off for 5v6 - all 40 minute games.

Reina Group:

Bebedores de Verbena were the dark horses of the competition. Our second ever French team to enter, and they certainly bring the je ne sais pas(s)!

BdV went through the pool rounds, without dropping a game, winning three of their four games, and drawing the other. With their infectious energy and bright red kit, LePassion were close behind, winning 3 out of 4 of their pool games, but losing the crunch match, 5-4 against the French. EuroComets managed a draw against the top team, putting them in third and into the Cup ahead of day two.

Gold Diggaz and Eurojets both went through to the Plate.

Flamenco Group:

As predicted, both Counterfeit Tigers, led ably by World Cup silver medallist, Jamie Cone, and Triple Threat, with another World Cup silver medallist in Daniela Medes captaining the team, topped their group, beating all the other teams, and drawing 3-3 against each other. Cardiff Coyotes took the last Cup place, with two wins and two losses.

Eurostars and Swiss Sparks headed to the Plate Comp.

Having regrouped overnight (both the teams and the schedule), we headed into finals day.

EuroStars, Gold Diggaz, Swiss Sparks and EuroJets played out the Plate competition.

After not winning a game on day one, The Swiss Sparks dug deep and bounced back with a reversal of the pool stage result against the Eurostars, beating them 5-3.

The Gold Diggaz doubled down on their 5-2 pool stage win against the Eurojets, whilst taking a clean sweep, to come out on top in the Women’s Plate playoffs.

🔥 WHAT A FINAL 🔥

Bebdores De Verbana opened the scoring, with strong defence on the line from both teams, they went into the half time with a 1-0 lead to the French contingent.

Lau’s scoop and Ravenscroft try in the corner brought them level as soon as the second half tapped off. It was Lau again, that used her experience and ran through an offside defence, to put them one ahead, and bagged herself a second in quick succession from a 33 platform set by Twomey. Five minutes to play, and BdV get a player force subbed, and it’s, you guessed it, Lau who takes the tap and exploits the mismatch to bag her hattrick.

Schepens steps back shortside, and throws long to winger, to bring the score to 4-2.

An absolute thriller from start to finish! This was women’s sport at its finest, fast, fierce, and full of heart.

Both teams left everything on the field, delivering an electrifying, end-to-end battle that had fans on the edge of their seats.

From the opening whistle to the final play, it was a showcase of pure determination, skill, and passion. Every pass, every sprint, and every defensive effort spoke volumes about the talent and resilience on display. Both teams showed incredible stamina, pushing through exhaustion with unwavering commitment.

No one backed down. No moment was easy. And while only one team could lift the trophy, every single player should be immensely proud of what they brought to the game and to the tournament.

Congratulations to the 2025 Touch N Tapas Women’s Cup winners, Le Passion, beating Bebdores De Verbana 4-2, to lift the trophy.
