LATE SUMMER LEAGUE'S DRAMATIC CLIMAX

Wow, what a finish!

A super close contest across the league, as all but one team had a draw over their games and a whopping 273 tries scored.

Semi finals

The semi finals were all close run, with a maximum of 2 tries in it over all four games.

Animals took on Blades, in a great contest. The two teams played the pool game earlier in the same night, with Animals winning 6-2. With a regroup, Blades pulled out a stellar performance making the animals really work for the final spot, as they finally went down 3-2 in a great display.

Chargers took on Shanked in the other Cup semi final. A depleted Chargers team put in a valiant effort, as Shanked came out on top taking the win 6-4.

In the bowl competition, the Hit N Run squad took on Spartans, as the young steppers and their experienced parents combined to secure their final spot.

It was a Sedgley derby, as the Tigers took on the Lions, in a 4-2 Lions victory.

FINALS FOOTY

7/8 Play off - Spartans beat Tigers in a 10-5 try fest, ending their season on a high.

Bowl Final - Hit N Run beat Sedgley Lions 4-3

Can’t wait to see what these guys bring next season, as their junior ranks have another season under their belt.

With Blades forfeiting their last match, Chargers took the bronze medal. a thanks to Shanked for stepping in to play Chargers in a friendly, in another 6-6 thriller.

Cup Final

Animals Vs Shanked. Both teams are stalwarts of the league, and have progressed so much over the past few seasons, which has been a pleasure to witness.

An end to end game, with the teams drawing 2-2 at half time went down to the wire at full time with a 5-5 score line.

Drop off time.

A breakaway from Animals’ Joe Davidson and blistering paced cover by Shanked’s Harry Armitage, saw a pressured pass go to ground.

Unfortunately Shanked couldn’t capitalise at the other end, as Animals defence proved too strong.

With time ticking down ahead of the 3v3 stage, animals found a gap and went over the whitewash on the hooter, to take their first cup final win.
